Summer time is approaching. The trees are budding, days are getting warmer and the smell of spring bulbs is in the air. Every spring, I think back on summers past and how to make this one even better. This year I will be hitting my own back yard with a few margaritas thanks to Baja Bobs!

Spring Into Action. Are You Up For The Challenge?

Walk MS holds a special place in my heart. When my mother-in-law was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, the reality of this debilitating disease became a reality for my family and friends. MS is more than a medical label. Living or knowing someone who has been diagnosed with MS puts you on the front line of heart ache watching someone you love slowly deteriorate into someone unrecognizable.

Blurred vision, loss of balance, poor coordination, slurred speech, tremors, numbness, extreme fatigue, problems with memory and concentration, paralysis, and temporary blindness are symptoms that may last only a few minutes or a few hours to several days, but the effects of MS on a loved ones life, and yours, is unpredictable - and creates a life which is gravely shortened.

Not only is this an opportunity to help over 2.5 million men and women, including my mother-in law and possibly someone you know, but it is an exciting opportunity for us to work together to support those affected by Multiple Sclerosis and spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and, most importantly, a cure.

We live in a country where you have the freedom to be anything you can imagine - a race car driver, a teacher, an astronaut, a magician. This same freedom is the shinning light of democracy that also protects our political choices regardless of who you vote for on election day. Maybe you will become the next President of the United States.

When it comes to business, there are two areas I try to steer clear of; politics and religion. As an American, you have the right to form your own opinions and beliefs. I have never voted strictly republic, democrat or independent, because I believe in voting for the right man or woman for the job regardless of political affiliation.

Regardless of which side of the table you are sitting on, we can all agree that there are areas of our government, and in business, that need some serious change - something that will unfortunately not change over night.

Banks sell houses to people that can't afford them, insurance companies raise premiums for people who are sick, funding for welfare, food stamps and energy assistance isn't available to the people who need it and the wealthiest 1% continue to profit off of greed while children are living on the street - homeless and hungry.

Greed Rules. It maybe a simple statement, but it's also the cold truth in America.

I was forced to think long and hard about today's brand. ABC is not in the mix of the Leno/Conan debacle, but some people have a hard time drawing the line. I decided to keep my thoughts to myself; at least for a little while!

Last night I headed out to dinner with friends, at Chili's which I have to say was amazing (and no, they are not paying me to say so); but I missed my favorite show; Grey's Anatomy. Yes ladies, I am a bigger fan of Grey's than my wife; I turn off the computer, put away the cell phone and make sure everyone is tucked into bed so I have no distractions.

Since I missed the show, and won't be looking at a rerun any time soon, I will be forced to buy the entire season from ABC. Let's be honest, I would have purchased it anyway, now I have a justification. Luckily, boxed season sets and other great merchandise are reasonably priced.

Moving away from the ABC/NBC Late Night feuds, What is your favorite show on ABC? Is it Dancing with the Stars, Boston Legal, Grey's Anatomy, Cougar Town, or another one of my "must watch" shows, Flash Forward?

I have spent the last few days preparing for the first day the new website goes live. There have been many bumps along the way, but finally tomorrow everything will be up and running. Please visit the new site, browse through the blog and check out my new store.

Another year draws to a close bringing a new year of opportunity and a brand new website for The Social Tweep. As we all prepare for the new year, and believe me I have done a lot of "preparing" over the last month, some really exciting companies are hopping on board for a year full of great conversation with my Twitter and Facebook friends and amazing giveaways.

Please bear with me over the next couple of days, at least the first weekend of 2010, as I continue to iron out a few bugs. While the website is up and running, there are bound to be a few issues here and there; especially integrating the new blog and my first ever online store. If you see something along the way that isn't functioning the way you think it should be, please drop me an e-mail, hit me with a tweet or let the entire world know I screwed up by posting it on my Facebook wall.
